Harper got an RBI single in his first AB. I think it was a 7-pitch AB.

This may be the most laid back I've ever seen Eckstein.

So, eyes of a killer rather than the normal eyes of a serial killer?

Bryce Harper works count full against Carlos Perez in first career at-bat, then loops an RBI single to center

Actually he looked and sounded reasonably amiable, and Debbi's interview wasn't that bad either.  Still had a major case of seriousface though.

Desmond had a good AB.  Saw a lot of pitches.

Damn, what a nice pitch.

Pretty generous strike zone didn't hurt it, that's for sure.

Bryce Harper picks up career stolen base No. 1 to go along with RBI No. 1. Needs some work on his headfirst slide. #mlbprospects

I'm not in Rome, Ga., for Harper's debut, but I'll bet they've got a bigger crowd than the 1,500 or so here at Sun Life Stadium.

I disagree. The strike zone was not generous.

Definitely not a strike last night, or probably ever if it's a Nationals pitcher.
