Oops, I didn't think he went long enough last time to get the win
He came out to pitch the 5th inning after the rain delay.

EDIT:  Didn't realize like 90 people had already discussed this.  When you are at work sometimes you leave unfinished posts up on the screen.

Linty will

Cleveland goes up 1-0 on a suicide squeeze by Asdrubel Cabrera.  Sawks about to be 0-6.

The baseball gods only want your misery. Once you suffer enough the Nats will win.

I'm not sure if that's supposed to be really funny or really depressing.  I'm already pretty miserable.

It's depression humor it is the latest thing. It is big in France. I wrote this about last nights game http://blownsavewin.com/?p=1398. We just have to find a way to get the baseball gods to turn there attention elsewhere. It would be nice to know what we did to piss them off so badly though.

I'm sticking by my 7-2 Nats victory prediction.

I'll probably abandon it sometime around the 4th inning... but for now, I'm feeling good about tonight.

Didn't you say the Nats were going to "take" Johnson tonight? I assumed you meant they were going to take it in the ass.

I am predicting a 27 pitch perfect game by Johnsons and the double natural cycle for Hanley.

Ramos batting 5th lol and they don't even play him every day.

Morse to the bench and Nix takes his spot and hits 8th. wow haha

Meanwhile, Bernadina didn't even draw an Opening Day start down in Syracuse.

I think Morse need not worry about job security.

Sure Johnson's a great pitcher, but those stats also say he must have had some decent run support, because 3.27 era isn't exactly shutdown pitching.
Josh Johnson is beatable. We beat him last year with Matt Chico on the mound. If chico can do it, than Lannan can do it.

Not a bad idea to give Morse a day to watch.  He's pressing a bit.

Right up there with Atilano vs. Lincecum and Speigner vs. Santana.

Might as well ride the hot bat while it's hot.  (Mindfacting here...) I think catchers hit better early in the season before the grind wears them down.  Better to hit Ramos fifth while the getting's good.

Say what you want, but sportsfan's got one here.  It's depressing to think how badly Morse has started after such a promising spring (not to mention how much the FO counted on him by trading Willingham).  Now he's being spelled for Laynce Nix.

This actually makes sense when I did that Morse doesn't hit elite pitching well statistical analysis I noticed that he is abysmal against Josh Johnson.  This wouldn't exactly be the ideal "get right" game for him.  Someone should dig up the exact stats since I can't.

EDIT:  Just kidding... I'm remembering how bad he was against Derek Lowe or something.  He has never had an AB against Johnson? o_O

Livan Hernandez.  Can't be any worse offensively than Nix.

Nix shouldn't be on the roster and neither should Stairs. We have better players in the Minors.
