By the way John heyman says there is a rumor that the orioles Will take Archie Bradley , with Cole,Rendon, and Bauer going top 3. That could lead to us picking up Bundy or Hultzen.
Keith Law update: In his latest mock draft out this morning, ESPN's Keith Law now projects the Orioles will select prep pitcher Archie Bradley with the fourth pick after Gerrit Cole, Anthony Rendon and Trevor Bauer, he projects, are selected ahead of them.
law says dbacks will draft bauer @ 3 and hultzen @ 7. no chance hultzen is still around @ 7. if for some messed up reason he was there @ 6 and we pass, i'm going to pass on being a nats fan.
Frankie Piliere: Ok, some news. Just had another source confirm that the O's are taking a hard look at Archie Bradley. No one seems to know yet, however, if it means that they believe Bundy will be off the board.
Frankie Piliere: Latest Buzz: Take this as you like. Had a source just tell me he was "positive" that San Diego would take Cory Spangenberg at 10. So there you go.
Joe discovered another path into baseball: the front office. An economics major at Kenyon, each project he completed connected to baseball. He wrote papers like “Rookies and the regression effect” and “Perfect games in MLB.” One professor threatened to flunk him if he turned in another baseball-related project. Instead, Joe did football.Today, Joe interns in the Washington Nationals’ baseball operations department. He can’t participate in pre-draft meetings because of Danny. Someday, Joe wants to be a major league general manager. Maybe, he said in a voice equal parts joking and dreaming, Danny will be on his team.
No way Hultzen drops. That whole rumor sounds like garbage, no offense to kirubel for posting it here.

I didn't know that Hultzen's brother works in the Nats' front office:good article on Hultzen http://ht.ly/5b1sR
so what's the KLAW's mock draft? who does that klown have the nats drafting?
Cole still No. 1 in final 2011 mockUCLA righty goes to Pirates; Nationals are poised to add another potential superstar
I'm told that if he gets here, he stops here.
This could also be Alex Meyer. If so, the Nats would hope to get Goodwin in the sandwich round. Goodwin is committed to South Carolina for the fall and could just go back into next year's draft as a true junior, so he has a bit more leverage than the four-year college players in this draft.
Who is Goodwin? Sounds like Klaw has us calling the names of two hard-to-sign guys in one round.
