I'm gonna check my attitude and post this in good vibes. I don't have diabetes, not at all. I have normal blood sugar, in fact. I was quite worried. I do have very high triglycerides plus family history, so it's low-fat diet time for me. :bang:

I switched over to 100g of sugar daily routine a few months ago and my A1c is currently 4.5.  It's not easy but you get used to it over time.

Have you tried Truvia or any of the stevia based sweeteners?

My sweet tooth will be fine, I have to cut out fats and alcohol. Good on you, though.

Nope, but with summer coming up I'm going to have to try those if I want to drink iced tea.

Any chance we could get hi res of this?  I'd love to have it for my work desktop.  Excellent picture!

The wife and I did some long toss today down at the Little League park behind our place.  Pretty cool teaching her how to properly throw and field a baseball.  Took a couple of practice hacks and hit one over the fence of center field.  :P

I feel honored

Not sure I could hit a home run anywhere, though. God, I miss baseball. When I get back to the USA, the first thing I'll do is drag someone to a diamond.

Incidentally, the picture was taken in the brownish field which looks kind of ugly if you type 51.183225,0.146592 into Google Maps. The English have very different ideas about property rights. At one point, the guidebook - a Rough Guide - told me to walk through this farmer's front yard and down his driveway and around his garage. He was there and I felt extremely awkward. He didn't mind, though, but his dogs were pretty pissed off.

Does the brewery have any significance?   :)

Yeah, it's common in Ireland too that many hiking trails cross private property, but unless posted it's okay to follow them.  You are expected to make every effort to close gates behind you, it would be very bad form indeed to allow the sheep to get out.

Larkin's Brewery is very proud of its traditional ale (3.4%), but since the whole business is Larkin himself, he won't distribute his beers to any pubs he wouldn't want to drive to. So you'll have to come to the Castle Inn, Chiddingstone and try it yourself. :)

Tom - sounds like my walking experiences for sure. At this farmer's house I also had to make sure not to trip over chickens.  :D

Had some great Fried Matzah (Matzah Brie) with grilled salami and onions this AM at Loebs, topped with a terrific Teaism tea (Ceylon from the New Vithanakanda Estate) afterwards.  I can't wipe the grin off my face.
