Next time you wanna nag because your beer is too warm, or some other such trivial crap, queue this up and get a healthy dose of reality...

Pfft. I'll be impressed when someone comes up with something to keep my beer cold AT ALL TIMES. That would be a Big Favor.

Oh my - something that I agree with Vark.  Aren't there containers (such as coozies) that one can put there beer glass in to help insulate from the warming elements (such as the air or one's hand) ?

But one problem is there seems to be a perspective my many beer purists that beer shouldn't be that cold for maximum flavor.

I mean like a super-insulated active-refrigeration coozy that keep my beer screamer cold, without chilling my hand. I'm a simple man with simple needs, who milks his beers at this point in his life. :)

Like so many things in life, it depends. The right beer, almost too cold to touch, on a scorching hot day, is a thing of beauty. Keep all that savoring of your carefully crafted high-alcohol beers for the cold weather.

Isn't that why people pay $75 buck for yeti coozies?

They do make coozies that have the gel pack built in, that you store in the freezer.  Those stay cold a lot longer than the beer lasts.

Good, fair mechanic. I know that other places in the area would have charged me more. Just kind of stinks that I had to spend it on that. However, it's nice that the bonus money came in when I needed it.

Yale wins first NCAA D1 Lacrosse championship.  I suppose it isn't good vibes for the Dukies, but they have 3 since 2010.  It is nice to share.

Given the Terps stumble, I'm fine with that outcome.

I wonder how many Maryland players on both teams?

they were saying the yale freshman goalie is from DC.  Starr.  Lot's of NY kids on Yale, between Westchester and Long Island. Morrill, who was their #2 scorer, I think may be from Maryland.  His family has a big history in lacrosse - I think his grandad or great-grandad coached  either Loyola or Hopkins and is in the hall of fame (actually, his Dad, grandad, and great-grandad are hall of famers).

Oh, and the Terps won last year.  I think they schedule Yale every so often.

We really enjoyed our recent short trip to the Black Hills of South Dakota...

As I am want to do whenever I feel an experience is above and beyond the norm, I make it a point to express my appreciation and gratitude in some fashion, be it a bigger tip or otherwise.

So I wrote a thank you note to the South Dakota Department of Tourism telling them how much we enjoyed our visit to their beautiful State.

In the mail today, we received a note from the Department of Tourism thanking us for our visit and our kind words...along with some really nice swag.

More than nice of them...and it brightened our day...

Well done.      South Dakota and New Mexico are two of my favorite places to visit.    The post reminded me of that.

Only been to New Mexico once...driving to California over summer break in 1972 or 1973.  I remember it was hot...  ;)

The people in SD were every bit as nice as the geography, so it sounds like NM has a lot going for it then...
