I would recommend seeing a nutritionist. They are really good at building diets around what foods to enjoy so you don't end up eating a diet of sawdust & warm water.

Definitely something to put on the "to do" list for next week.  I worked with one 10 years ago when I got heavy out of high school and it was a real eye opening experience.  I went from a diet of garbage and 380lbs to eating extremely healthy and 190lbs in a little over 16 months.  I kept it off for a good five years but the stress of grad school put it back on me in no time.

I'm 6'1" on a thinish frame.   I went from 225 to 180.   I always tell folks the first thing you need to remember to lose weight is, "You don't have to eat all the mashed potatos."    I decided to lose the excess when I tried on a pair of new jeans and I had to buy a 40" waist.   Wasn't gonna happen.   I was also motivated by 9/11 when it dawned on me I may have to walk home from downtown DC some day ...  26 miles.    Sounds like you have a plan.   Congrats !!

That's super awesome, but it begs the question: how many 5 year olds DO you have? :)

Twins. So, that's 2.

I would do it in a heartbeat if I could but my current health insurance doesn't offer bariatric surgery.  I'm considering a job change so that might be something I do if I don't take off more weight on my own.  The biking 5-10 miles a day and drinking 2-3L of water is making it easier but it's still a struggle.

Are there any healthy food options at the park?  I usually stop by Subway before hand but found myself at the "Taste of the Majors" towards the end of the season last year...
ON the 3B side, lowest level, there's a healthy option stand. Has light sandwiches, hummus, stuff like that. They're not bad. Better than a hot dog or basket of fries. Not better tasting, but better for you.

We have friends that have twin toddlers but it can seem like there's 8 of them when they get going.

Took my car in for a minor recall at the dealer, they reset the TPMS for free and washed the car, too. That didn't suck.

After two weeks of somewhat nervous waiting got the news from the ol' hematologist - no need for concern.  All systems go.

Here's something totally awesome:  I get off work at 7am Monday morning and am off for two weeks.  My vacation includes Opening Day at Nats Town (of course), a trip to Atlanta to stay with a friend and go to Wrestlemania, and then a couple days in Ft. Lauderdale with my girlfriend, with a grand finale of our first Nats/Marlins game in Miami.  Got seats front row behind Nats' bullpen.

I'm gonna check my attitude and post this in good vibes. I don't have diabetes, not at all. I have normal blood sugar, in fact. I was quite worried. I do have very high triglycerides plus family history, so it's low-fat diet time for me. :bang:
