But a message on twitter is referred to as a "tweet".  To RT something means to "Re-Tweet" it, sort of like forwarding an email or something.

I didn't know it meant "re-tweet" either, though of course I knew a Twitter post is often referred to as a "tweet." I figured "iot" had to be a typo, but I wasn't sure—I wondered if it might have been some sort of Twitter-specific jargon. These days you never really know!!!!

If I'm being asked to "re-tweet" it, then the wrong person is being asked!
