Mariners broadcaster Dave Niehaus passes away
« Topic Start: November 11, 2010, 03:29:09 PM »
Was bummed out when I read this.  Niehaus may not carry the legend of an Ernie Harwell, but he was one of those mainstays of a franchise.

I'm fond of the M's and have watched some of their home broadcasts over the past few years.  It was nice to be able to listen to a broadcasting legend during their games.

Sucks that he never got a chance to see them play in the World Series.  R.I.P.

Heard him a bit on XM, he was pretty good.  More importantly, he was well liked and appreciated by the M's fans, and they haven't had a lot to chear for lately.
