Someone needs to shut these dumb Phillies drunks up

Must be nice to not have a job and be able to stay at the ballpark until 2:00AM.

Never forget, whether they win or lose, they still have to return home to Philadelphia.  That's punishment enough.

Hello?  Is there anybody there?

[echo...echo...echo...echo...]

Greetings, gentlemen.  It's a nice time for some midnight baseball.  As a 2L in law school, my week ends on Thursday (no Friday classes) so I'm in it here for the long haul.  Let's see another 15 inning game!  Go until 4:00AM!

Rock on, my brothas.

ROCK ON!!!

I actually have work at 830am, but screw it.  I'm in for the whole shebanga-bang.

Just think how orgasmic it will be if we beat them...make it harder on them against the Dodgers...then they have to fly to Miami with only 4 hours or so sleep before they have to play the Marlins.

Maybe it's the beers...but I just feel like we're going to win this one.

Why?  Absolutely no reason whatsoever.  And I reserve the right to be proven catastrophically wrong.

The Astros won and the Cards lost today, so I'm happy enough as it is.  Anything else (like say a nice Ryan Zimmerman 3-run HR) is just gravy.

Just announced on the radio that Pedro Martinez is out for the season with a torn calf muscle.  OUCH.

Said it was the right calf...which is a different leg than the one that he's been sitting out currently.

poor mutts

and a 2 pitch out for Nook.. wow, we could work the count alot more guys.  why can't we ever blow people out?  Whenever we win, it always has to be a nailbiter.  Last night we had plenty of chances to pile on to a 4-1 lead but couldn't do anything.

Maybe it's just the drunken Eso talking, but right now I really hope that we can all hang out and share some drinks at a Nats-friendly bar someday.  If nothing else, I've got to witness sportsfan's bedside manner in person!

I have this abiding image of nats2playoffs as a big kid in an oversized baseball cap.  Wouldn't it be great if he turned out to be a 35-year-old married guy?

Notice also that, despite being tipsy, my grammar and spelling remain impeccable.  A point of pride!

Utley has really been a thorn in our side during this series.

It irks me to think that he might win the Gold Glove, despite the absolutely incredible work of Jamey Carroll over in Colorado (exactly two errors the entire season, and those while playing in a "Giambi shift"-like position).  Wish they actually kept those awards limited strictly to fielding prowess.

Yeah, everybody thought I would look like Chad...  they probably all think you look like Guz...  Sens thinks Sportsfan looks like Doctor Doom.  I'm not sure what Sens would look like...  The Monopoly guy?

By the way Eso, did you ever see the pic of me that finally escaped onto the forum? As it turns out, I'm not Hispanic at all!  Not one bit!!

Mike O'Connor will never be a starting pitcher in the majors because he doesn't throw enough strikes.  His pitch count will always balloon, quickly.

No, I haven't seen it.  Link, please?

I hate to disappoint you all, but I'm terribly pale.

STRIKE THREE TO HOWARD!  Nice job, Mikey.
