Nice too see Castro getting a shot at leadoff. I think he could be a great off-the-bench spark plug guy, ala Jamey Carroll, only better.

The problem with Castro is that he's hitting below .250, with an OBP of only .305.  With a roster full of guys with OBP's above .350, I don't really get the strategy of putting the guy who gets on least, up first.

can anyone tell me why i can not see this game here in Buffalo, it has espnews on right now?! I was looking forward to catching my final glimpse of the rookie of the year and the rest of the nats!

Never expect anything from ESPN or FOX.  Even when they say they're broadcasting a game, they end up not televising it.

exactly, just because bernie has a few nice slap hits everyone thinks he should be guaranteed a roster spot next year and maybe even take over 2nd base.

Another K for Pedro with a curve.
That's a quick inning for Pedro 1-2-3 and 11 pitches.

With the return of Guzman, that is not so clear.
It will be interesting what will happen next year.

Thank god he finally got #20...that makes his chances for ROY significantly better, as does the fact that he's been hot during this last stretch while Uggla and Ramirez haven't.

Base hit for Nook.

Come on Ryan get on base, so the pitcher spot is not first in the next inning.

out of the inning with only 1 run given up.  Yeah Church thinks he should start even though he can't play defense and can't lay off a pitch in the dirt

But he can crush a mistake.

it would be awesome if we could accomplish something so late in the season (sweeping the philthies and shattering their wc hopes and dreams). Which will deny Howard of the MVP award.
