By the way, I don't want our unis to look like the Orioles Unis.   I wouldn't mind if they looked like the 69 - 71 Senators.   They had their name in Script and no pin stripes.   The Yanks used to be their arch rivals as were the Orioles.  So I don't want their uniforms like either of them.

• Got a note from Brian Shane, who had sent this to me (and it was featured in the tweaks section a while back): “No lie, I PhotoShopped this up myself, and on a crazy whim sent a copy of this in the mail to Nats management six months ago, with a quaint for-your-consideration note. Now Paul is saying that this design leaked in the last week or so. Coincidence? We will have to see what the real one looks like when it’s unveiled on Wednesday. Note the difference: My “N” is an upside-down and jury-rigged version of the team’s iconic curly W.”

Brian, I’ve seen the new design, and it’s safe to say it looks nothing like that. Funny how that “phony” design got such legs though. Maybe we all wanted it to look like that.

Looking like the Twins or Reds wouldn't bother me, but the fact that it is a team in our division. I will probably get over it since I do actually like the two tone hats a lot, and I am going to wear only one hat all next year. And I like the two-tone better than the solid red or navy blue.

I've already got solid colored home and away curly W caps that i've had for years.  Seriously doubt I will be spending extra coin to buy more hats until I see that the team is committed to spending on on-field improvements.
