That joke about renaming the team the Washington Zimmermans and fielding a bunch of clones is starting to sound less ridiculous all the time.

At this rate we're gonna need at least 4 more runs.

Speedy Logan on a leadoff double.  Wonder if Frank will send him to third?

Another obscure stat, I'll bet the Nationals lead MLB in leadoff doubles where the inning ends in no runs.

Nook Logan should be batting leadoff, not Bernie Castro.  Nook-at-Night is hitting .296 while Castro is .235.  This isn't that hard to figure out...Church and Castro are less likely to hit Nook in than Lopez, Soriano, and Zimmerman...

Unfortunately with Logan batting in front of Church and the pitcher, what are the odds that he's going to be advanced?

But you're probably still right.

Why is Church playing tonight?  Glavine is not a pitcher Ryan Church should be facing, for a number of reasons!

You're exactly right, which is exactly why he SHOULD be in the lineup tonight.  He needs to learn how to hit good breaking balls, nobody better to test him.  This game doesn't matter, and Church needs the experience.
