Why is Church playing tonight?  Glavine is not a pitcher Ryan Church should be facing, for a number of reasons!

You're exactly right, which is exactly why he SHOULD be in the lineup tonight.  He needs to learn how to hit good breaking balls, nobody better to test him.  This game doesn't matter, and Church needs the experience.

It's like watching an alcoholic in the 12-step program who has just been chained to a stool in a bar...

As I watched Church swing at a breaking pitch that was heading to his ankles, the MASN announcer said, "He hasn't thrown a pitch over the plate to Church yet."  I thought of all the posts on this forum...

Actually Scheider didn't even have the ball...Perez caught him before he even started his windup.

There are only 6 games left in the season, but Zimmerman now has 46 doubles. The MAJOR LEAGUE record for Most In A Season By A Rookie is NL, Johnny Frederick, Brooklyn, 52 in 1929.

Zimmerman: .286, 19 HR, 104 RBI
Uggla: .282, 26 HR, 89 RBI

How can you deny Zimmerman the ROY, especially including his amazing defense?
