Who's better, Strasburg on a bad day or Halladay?

halladay, oswalt, blanton = three of their four pitchers in postseason ... oh what do you know?  they aren't homegrown talent.  the phillies went out and made moves for them.

This Reds performance is so reminiscent of the Nationals.

The Nationals at least got a hit.

How much does Bengie Molina weigh? He looks like he's smuggling illegals across the border.

The Politically Correct Police will be arriving shortly.

It's why I think the organization should just go ahead and draft a crap-load of position players and trade for good pitching.  Drafting and developing pitchers seems to be a crap-shoot.

Pitchers are extremely expensive.  Philly basically mortgaged their future for their current lineup.

Well, no.  But that's not the point.  I think, going forward, they should stockpile position players in the minors and use them as trade pieces.  I'm also not so disillusioned as to believe we can do that this off-season.

Unless a Strasburg comes along, always go with a position player.  That's all I'm sayin'.

Halliday could come in and kick the announcers in the nads and they would still kiss his butt.

Halladay was clearly jealous of Lee's performance earlier today.

Don Larsen pitched a perfect game in game 5 of the WS back in the 60's.

My bad I thought you meant by any pitcher.

Congrats to Halladay.

Phillies 'Phans' don't deserve it though.

Yep.  I know I'm supposed to hate him because he's on the Phillies but I loved watching him pitch when he was with Toronto, it's nice to see him finally be on a good team.  To me, anyway :)
