What are the 2 good starters we put out every 5 nights?
When Zimmermann and Lannan are on the mound I feel like the team at least has a chance to win.  Not a good chance, especially with like 2/3rds of our offense out of the lineup, but a chance.

Why does MLB say Morse grounds out, three outs, Desmond scores?  Score 2-0 Nats.

Marquis is getting an awesome strike zone, he'd better take advantage of it.

Also: if there's one positive outcome of the Phillies clenching the division yesterday, it's that their lineup tonight is full of minor leaguers and bench players.  In fact, if you squint real hard it looks a little like our lineup!

I HATE the way the Phillies are treating this game.  Like a spring training game.  >:(

Why wouldn't they?  No reason to waste their good players or put maximum effort into a game that (a) doesn't matter for them and (b) doesn't matter for us.  By those criteria it must be either the ASG or a spring training game, and it sure as hell isn't the ASG.

This is not a question that people are seriously asking.  I hope.

They should treat it like this but that doesn't change the fact that they're implying or stating it flatly that we're not worthy of their best effort.  I think that's insulting.

It's incredibly insulting.  But we earned it with our pathetic performance last night.  If I were Charlie Manuel I would enter this game with the firm belief that I could put out this lineup and still have a credible chance of winning.

On the plus side, Marquis gets to pad his stats by striking out hitters like Brown, Dobbs, and Schneider

Wow I just realized the Nats still have no hits.
