Damn, Pitt at Utah and USC vs Hawaii, that's awesome for the first day.

Last time ever we see olsen in a nats uni?  Hope so.

It would be nice if we had owners dedicated to a winning team consisting of a starting rotation that had more than a potential #2 (who is coming off tj surgery), a few inning eating veterans and a bunch of AAAA options.  But remember this is all part of the plan.

Teddy will count that bank he made off of strasmas and pocket it!

The LAC is never wrong.  The LANC have no valid points to prove us wrong.

I swear this team is like a bad episode of Warehouse 13. John Patterson's glove must be floating around the clubhouse and being randomly given to Olsen and Marquis. Morgan probably is wearing Elijah Dukes jockstrap.

2nd   D Murphy grounded out to shortstop, L Morrison scored, H Ramirez to third, G Sanchez to second.
2nd   W Helms singled to left, H Ramirez and G Sanchez scored.   3   8
2nd   M Stanton homered to left, W Helms scored.

Nationals  3
Marlins     10

PLANNING AHEAD:  Riggleman, if you FORFEIT, the final score is only 9-0.

Should we be completely surprised that the Nationals are playing like this in the final game of a road series?    This is kind of par for the course.

Really wish we would send Nieves packing now.  Absolutely no reason for him to be on this team.

Its a series we should've won.

We had opportunities last night, but crap happens.  Tonight, we get 3 runs in 3 innings... but scott olsen craps the bed (again) and the game is out of reach.

If we come back and win tonight I will ban myself for the remainder of the season.

And ps yeah I'm kinda excited to see what maya can do, but he is yet another unproven pro pitcher.  Chico deserves a spot over olsen.

That'd be a dick move at this point.  Let him finish the season on a team, don't invite him back next year though.

Dunn is damn good at picking the ball.  He's an above average first baseman defensively.  Dude is a really good athlete.

Who cares...its a good baseball decision.

I'm tired of being the nice guy that finishes last (and also has a low payroll).  This crap has to change.

It costs us nothing to keep him, and with the expanded rosters, it doesn't take up a spot we could have a young guy play.

No.  He's good at picking and he's getting better fielding grounders, but in no way is he an above average defensive 1B.

It most certainly does take up a spot for a player to play. As long as he's an active member of the roster, he's going to play over more deserving hitters. Realistically, at this point, any at-bat that he takes, is taking away from a more deserving player.

I disagree.  There are only a couple of elite defenders at first base.

Don't rosters expand to 40 players on the club?  They're calling up 15 guys?

This game was over when Riggleman announced the lineups.  Why do we keep playing old bums?
