Between the football game this weekend and the heavy rain today, the field could be in really sorry shape.

Fans at the stadium say this game isn't getting played tonight.  No official word, and the stadium's web cam is stuck on Saturday.

A couple Marlins fans sitting, a guy and his girlfriend, out on top the the Marlins dugout, in the pouring rain, having a Bud.  They should be in a commercial.

FSMarlins  You could row a boat around the outfield at Sun Life right now. Grounds crew here is great but I'd be shocked if this game is played. DV

They just showed some video of the conditions on MASN.  It was really bad.  I'd bet against a game happening tonight.

Looking at the radar, there's a possibility, but I doubt it gets in.

I had slowed for a bit, but really fired up again.  The outfield is a swimming pool.  I've never seen so much water on the field before.

I think that means the game is guaranteed to be played now.

it's possible.  this was one of the preset avatars.

Have you ever punched what you thought was an empty cardboard box, only to find a solid object inside, and broken a bone?

There are no more puddles here. There are trenches. The whole field is pretty much a body of water. #Nats

Sure, I almost always buy it by the case, doesn't everybody?

But I'm just exploring if there are further similarities between chief and chemist.  Not that there's anything wrong with having multiple identities on the forum.   ;)

Not a new incident, but definitely a classic.

Yeah, I thought you'd remember.   He didn't know something was in it.  His cast was his avatar for awhile.

UPDATE, 9:21: Tonight's game might be played after all. Despite standing water through out the field and some light rain still coming, the tarp is coming off and the grounds crew is pouring dirt on the field and raking. There's a small pond in right field.
