« Topic Start: August 30, 2010, 03:57:03 PM »
    NATIONALS (56-75)

    3B Ryan Zimmerman
    1B Adam Dunn
    RF Michael Morse
    C Ivan Rodriguez
    CF Nyjer Morgan
    P Jason Marquis

    MARLINS (65-64)
    CF Cameron Maybin

    SS Hanley Ramirez
    2B Dan Uggla
    1B Gaby Sanchez

Brilliant plan to have your 2 best hitters get less PA while 3 average offensive players get more.

Why is slappy putz T-Flush back in the lineup?  Play Wee-Willie.  Play Morse.  Play Dunn in LF again.  Anything other than T-Flush at this point.

Make that 1-2-3-4-5-6. I love love the leadoff situation right now. Except it's gonzalez and not desmond :bang:

Seems like a test for Nyjer.  Can he swallow his pride and be a team player, or not?  He's gotta be on double secret probation by now for sure.

he's on a hierarchical probation... lerner is seeing how rizzo handles riggleman handling nyjer handling nyjer.  it's a complex web.  mathematicians are working on it.

I'm thinking chemists.  One gram of catalyst, the whole thing blows up in everyone's face.

Why does chemist's avatar remind me of Chief? Did Chief ever use that same avatar at one point?

Interesting lineup.
It's basically the same lineup he's run out there since Chicago left town except he swapped Desmond for Gonzo...

I'd imagine if we ran this lineup (Desmond included, of course) out there from Opening Day on... we'd be much closer to .500 than we currently are.

linty, i'd agree with you, but I'd rather have bernie in center + hammer in left batting 7th, and ramos catching and batting 8th.  there'd be no solace for pitchers, except our pitcher.

Nyjer Morgan anywhere in the lineup is a losing lineup.  He casts a pall over everything.

Dibble's prolonged absence has to mean a raise for Knight, correct?

Uggla is not in the lineup tonight.  He has a slight strain, and [fodder]the Marlins decided to rest him against the lowly Nats[/fodder].
