This.  Dibble would yell at a pitcher to keep throwing a pitch because the batter hadn't shown he could hit it.  In the same at bat he would then yell at the pitcher for throwing the same pitch if the batter ended up hitting it.  Just a loud guy who occasionally said something funny.

I was thinking more along the lines of a politician.   We want 'em to tell it like it is until we disagree with them.   If Knight had said that while Guzman was here, somebody would have whined about him undercutting the team.
