Yeah. He suffers from rust more than most.
Pinch hitting is a tough job, there aren't a lot of Lenny Harris' out there.

It's Bernadina's fault we're losing.

My wife tells me it's my fault ... as was WWII, Korea, Vietnam, The Crash, etc.

Kevin Mench is the pinch hitter we use.  That says everything.

I can't believe we still have so many bad players on this roster.  Thought we were supposed to be progressing.  Oh well a bottom of the league payroll will do that for ya.

Kevin mench :lmao:

It was either him, Justin Maxwell, or Willie Harris. All terrible options.

At the moment Bernadina (LOB 6) is the scapegoat. You cannot win with 0 runs.
Not arguing that point.  Which is why I thought they shoulda tried to squeeze Nyjer home when he got to 3rd.  vs. Halladay, you gotta do that.  You only get so many chances.

Did they send Ramos back? I haven't heard anything about him

The bench needs a major overall this offseason.  Willie Harris's contract is done.  Maxwell should spend the rest of his career in AAA.  The Lerners need to spend money on good bench players too.

Not yet.  Tomorrow, I believe, once Nieves is due back.

Then call him up on Sept 1st? They better give him several starts a week. If he's going to be the future, we need to see what we have to work with.

Yep.  He'll get a look in Sept. and he'll get a serious look in March too.

An All-Star performance by Marquis and an All-crap performance by Berndina.

Doc's dominating.  Marquis gave us 5 solid innings.  Bernadina's being blamed for missed opportunities.  1-0 Philly thru 6.
