WNFF Toolbar Issue
« Topic Start: August 18, 2010, 04:09:54 PM »
I no longer can use the Search box function in my toolbar. Nothing happens when it is clicked. I miss my Google!

Firefox 3.6.8

and now it's working sporadically.

It is working for me now as long as I have WNFF in a separate 2nd tab, otherwise not at all. Also, the browser seems to now be Bing instead of Google. Can it be switched back? I hate Bing!

Conduit signed an agreement with Bing after the contract with Google expired. I agree that the Google search was many times better, in every sense.

To counter the Bing search that's the new default search engine for the toolbar, you could use the Google searches in the "Google Tools" section.

Click on the icon to access the Google Tools and use the Google searches.

Hey, Ken created the toolbar, why shouldn't he follow the thread a bit?

Besides, the over-moderating going on on the MLB board is brutal.  I wouldn't be surprised to see some folks make the move to WNFF.

Not to take this off-topic, but due to the horrific layout and design of the MLB board, I haven't visited it in months. But my curiosity is piqued by your comment... Can you go into a bit more detail about this over moderation? Are we talking posts deleted that criticize the team, that are questionable attacks on other members, personal stuff, off-topic stuff or what? After so long of the board being a cesspool with hardly any moderation back before I found WNFF in 2005 and 2006, I'm shocked there's any moderation at all, let alone an overbearance of it.

There are lots of claims of deleted posts, deleted entire threads.  For sure, if you post a link it will be promptly deleted, unless your account is based in another team's site, such as Philly  :?  in which case your links aren't deleted.

They have language filters that serve to prevent many common words from being used, simply because they may have double meaning, or maybe too many letters in common with a bad word.  Just go read some of the recent thread, like the "10 minutes" one, for the litany of complaining.
