What does wanting to stay have to do with it? Offer him the market price for a player of his caliber and he'll sign. The problem is, apparently, that the Lerners don't want to pay him the market price.
We have offered big money to other " free agent players" and they just don't want to play here. So I do understand the question. However, if Dunn signs and Strasburg keeps healthy a lot more guys will want to play for the Nationals!
