Yuneski Maya looks more like a South Beach nightclub owner than a pitcher.

Nebulous strike zone tonight.

MLB.com "gameday" records Detwiler as having thrown an 82mph and 80mph fastball to that last batter.

First inning, Detwiler is throwing 92 mph, by the 3rd he tops out at 88mph.

Is there something wrong with his arm, or with the speed-gun?

Morgan got screwed on the strike zone.  Called out on three balls - two outside, one high, per pitch F/x.

I was driving home from work :P

Wow, not to be racist or anything, but Maya doesn't "look" Cuban at all.

I would guess mostly spanish blood not a lot of african or native blood

Sure, there are plenty of white Cubans.  Nospinzone, for one.

Damn, Riggleman takes out a very successful Detwiler, only to have Peralta give it up to the #7.

Jeez, I'm at the game and the stadium almost shook when Ruiz hit that homer. Ridiculous number of Phillies fans here, almost the loudest I've heard in five years. Gogol Stan Kasten marketing to Philly and selling single seat suite tickets.

Yup thank Stan Kasten.  Sure the Lerners are happy ... We won't see that money for Dunn though 8)

Carpenter's worst statement ever. Philly fans should never have a chance to do anything in the stadium, especially boo. That's a horrible attitude.

Hate Blanton, but I like that he will do whatever it takes to try to get on base.

What?  He said it was a "great atmosphere", which I took to be totally facetious.

"And now THEIR fans have a chance to boo!"

Took that as Kasten-style butt kissing, but I'd love to be wrong.
