Sigh. It sounds a little less bone-headed the way to say it. But just a little.

Here's what happened. Full count, Heyward on 3rd, McCann on 1st, one out. Livo throws strike 3, McCann is running with the pitch. Pudge throws it well ahead of McCann, who runs back to first (trying to allow Heyward to score in the rundown). Desmond runs about 20 feet, throws to Dunn, and Heyward is off on the throw. Dunn throws home, but Heyward scored.

Heh. I love that Jim only hears about Strasburg complaining through Rob Dibble.

If by GMs you mean Omar Minaya, Brian Sabean, and Ed Wade, then sure.

Add Jerry Dipoto to that list.

He acquired Joe Saunders because he won a lot of games. It's in his press conference.

Anyone notice Dave Batista behind homeplate?

He's wearing a red shirt with a flat brimmed Nats hat tilted to the side.

Livan is at 85 pitches. You don't pull him after your bullpen has to pitch nine innings yesterday.

This is when you have your starter bite the bullet.

Exactly.  Especially someone like Livo.

It's terrible bullpen management.

Usually you want to use the bullpen as little as possible after going nine innings. You don't see most (smart) managers taking out relievers after one batter.

Right.  So now we don't have Batista, Slaten, probably not Burnett.  Clippard in now, who else is there?  We have Bally still?

Slaten ain't gonna be around much longer. I just have a feeling he's gonna get traded.

New solution.

Bat Pudge leadoff so he can't hit into double plays!

Forgot about Peralta.  Don't know if they'd use Storen again either.

I was thinking either a trade is about to go down, or we're going to see some arm swapping from AAA to the MLB with the way they're burning out the bullpen.

I don't get it either! Clippard going in the 6th and 7th? Saving Balester for tomorrow in case Olsen only goes a few innings? Who gets taken off the roster tomorrow? Stras to the DL? :glug: ... and I don't even drink!

Harris is now 2/11 versus Hudson.

Gotta get him in a groove though.

I don't think Storen even threw 10 pitches last night so he might be able to pitch an inning
