Just saw a scout for the Tampa Bay Rays in the Nationals Park press box tonight. The Rays, as you'll recall, are one of the teams linked to Adam Dunn in trade rumors. The AL wild-card leaders are looking for a bat before Saturday's trade deadline, and are believed to be interested in Dunn, as are a number of other American League teams.

One National League scout, from a team that's not in on Dunn, said he spoke with the Nationals front office a couple days ago, and said trade negotiations keep slowing down. "Every time they get close, there's another team that pops up," the scout said. He continues to believe Dunn will stay in Washington.
