did it? we only got 1 run out of it, and burned the rest of the bench. Morse could have at least tried to drive the ball. The end result was Nieves pinch hitting

Or Morse could've fanned and then a double play would've ended the game.

The base running mistake by Morse will come back and cost us this ballgame.

Why? The run at third still scored.

Sucks we couldn't get one more run there in the ninth.

You're absolutely right. My bad. What actually cost us was the sick catch by Edmonds.

Wait a second.  Nieves was coming in if we pinch hit for Pudge, regardless.  The question was let Morse hit, then send up Dunn, then pinch hit Morgan for the pitcher if the inning is still alive, or do what Riggs did.

I guess because the ball was never thrown in?

Love how Storen throws the pitch Dibbs calls for, and it loses the game

It's definitely going to be close if they keep playing like this.

20-15

22-41

(.350) x 64 = 22-42

64-98

No.  Throwing it in would be too late.  Run would score anyway.

9th   Braun singled to deep left center, Weeks scored, Inglett to second.

FINAL
Nationals  3
Brewers   4

Impossible to know but I think this wins the game. I don't trust Neives to call pitches and Morgan's bunts are getting tired even if it worked this time to say nothing of Morse swinging a hot bat.

I guess I'm saying I want Dunn to PH there rather than let Pudge bat, so Wil will catch the bottom of the 9th regardless (unless Morse gets an extra base hit that scores 2, in which case Pudge bats).
