Exactly, I didn't think he had a chance at it and he almost got it, would have been spectacular.

If it were anyone else pitching, I would throw the "game" out there. It's hard, though, since our bats have ODed on Benadryl lately.

I really can't stand Nyjer. Play it off the wall. You make that play last year but this year you suck. You're comparable statistically to ADAM KENNEDY except he isn't a complete loser on the basepaths.

Had he played it off the wall, would it have help Phillips to a double?  And perhaps prevented the run?

I wish!  Actually I'd love to see Julian as an analyst, it would make for a very entertaining game :)

Kennedy doesn't get on the basepaths.

Kennedy OBP .321
Nyjer OBP .316

Kennedy gets on base more often.  Nyjer 21-34 SB.  Kennedy 10-10.  Kennedy's got a better record on the bases and gets on base more often, that's how bad Nyjer is right now.

I said it before that I'd prefer him leading off over Nyjer. Doesn't have speed, but has a better OBP. Also will give you a steal here and there without getting picked off. His base running errors against the Marlins were by far the exception to the rule. Nyjer not getting picked off is a near shock at times.
