Would have loved it if dunn had the ability to spoil a marginal pitch instead of hope for the call.

But he's already been doing that a lot more this year.  If you check the pitch F/X, it was a VERY marginal pitch.  I agree it would've been nice to spoil it, but I don't think you can say it was THAT bad of a decision to take there.

We need Pudge to drive the run in here.

Craig needs all the runs he can get.

Working alone seems to work for Vin Scully

I'll take two, but would have loved to get all three.

Wow, the first three runners reach base, the third with a double, and we oly score 2 runs (the second off a wild pitch). That's a failure.

True ... but remember how in the past we would usually get none.

I can't fault Dunn.

Borderline, you're on fire, and the pitcher can't throw a strike to save his life.

8/10 Dunn probably gets that call.

I don't think Dunn does anything with that pitch.  He's struck out on pitches like that plenty of times.

I didn't know that. I didn't think Maxwell had turned 26 yet.

This is the first inning in like 9 or 10 games that the Nats didn't give up a 1st inning run. How's that for progress?

He threw in JMAX on his list to throw everyone off.

Thanks for the WP.

By the way, I had a holey shwow moment when I looked at Guz's stats.  His walk, k and ISO rate this year most closely resembles 2005.  The big difference is BABIP (.254 v. .346).  That is driving the avg, obp, and slg improvement.  more singles dropping in.

Stammen really needs to calm down on those throws.  Or get more excited, I'm not sure which.

CS is a great athlete, but he needs to make better throws on those.  Desmond and Guzman saved him both times on very athletic plays themselves.
