I could easily see Strasburg pitching a perfect game with no run support.

You can't spit in the face of the Baseball Gods and not expect retribution!

Tyler Clippard with a one-run lead means it won't be a one-run lead for long.

I see no reason if he stays healthy, why he wouldn't have a PG during his career. On his best day, I don't think anyone could beat him.

I'll give it up for Carpenter tonight. He stepped up in the booth.

He's been a lot better this year.  Maybe because the Nationals are?

If David Price can throw 99 fastball in 111 pitches, Clippard certainly should be able throw fastballs for one inning!

That's debatable.

Ha.

Exactly what I was thinking.

Votto with a great play to send the game to extras.

Damn!  Part of it is Clippard; the other part is leaving too many men on base.

When you're throwing 96, what exactly are you afraid of that keeps you from throwing it more often?

Make them hit the fastball, for goodness sake, Clippard. If they hit it, it'll just end up in the same place as the changeup does.
