As bad as this is, I'd rather watch the Nats take it in the ass than to watch the Lebron James circus that ESPN has been jerking off on for months.

I think Batista would be a better starter than Atilano.

Do you still?

There can't possibly be that many Padres fans in DC. I hate stupid people.

If one of our starters had to go on the DL, who would get called up?  And whoever's name you give, is he worse than Luis Atilano?

They're going to do that?  Are the Padres actually gay, or is this some anti-Catholic stereotype?  Or is it one of the tortures that is part of.....

The Off Topic thread here has folks recommending Community on NBC, which has reruns from 8pm-11pm tonight.

Detwiler has to be on the verge, as there's no lefty right now.

He's not.  He hasn't gone more than four innings.

If you still had your show you'd have to be all over it.

Maximum contracts are a terrible idea. Makes a mockery of free agency.

OK, consider Batista. Isn't there any relief pitcher in the minors better than Batista? Does Batista ever pitch unless the Nats are ahead or behind by a dozen runs or so?

Meanwhile, Atilano and Martin pitch OK in about two of three starts. Maybe three out of four. Neither hits 90 mph with a fastball. When they have a bad game, it's atrocious.

We need to be rid of all 3 of them and of anyone that fits the same mold if we're ever going to contend for anything except the NL east cellar.
