Gotta start thinking Patterson is for real and a legit top of the rotation starter on any staff. Not a #1 guy yet but 2-3 in pretty much any rotation.

Yeah I know it was the Rockies, who lead the league in being shut out, but Patterson really has been good. Got the Rockies feed on mlb.tv last night and they were running down the list of Patterson's opponents in his starts this season. I had forgotten that he has gone up against top starters in almost all of his starts (Maddux, Hampton twice, forget who else) which puts all those no decisions in an ever more positive perspective for him as he was pitching even against elite guys with Nats offence not scoring for him.

Still things he needs to work on, but I think he's the real deal.
