4-0 Phillies. 6ip 4er for Ortiz.  Not good at all, but better than the rest of our starting performances as of late.  He showed flashes of pitching smart in the first couple of innings.  And then the last few innings, he started throwing slider, slider, slider, slider, ....  just like Armas..  Tom suggested that they outlaw the slider

Instead of scoring 2 runs, we get ZERO!  Thank you Tony Beasley and Gary Darling

Looking good Schroder.  Our bullpen next year is going to be fine, with Ayala and hopefully Bowie coming back, and the  subtraction of Rivera and Grybowski.

The DC City Council has reportedly recommended legislation to impose a $15 fine for saying the word "Grybowski" in a public place.

We are getting stomped by the Phils in our own home.  7 innings pitched for Hamels and we only have 3 stinking hits.  This will be all over Sportscenter because the Phils are right in the W.C.  Just like the game yesterday, we are getting blown out of the water.  The least we could do is make the games close.. :(

How come everytime I come to the game threads lately, we are already losing 4-0?

Will we ever win again?

Nice Schroder- 2 IP 4 K . Only positive in all of these bad losses is the success of Wagner and Schroder.

Soriano's 43rd home run (ANOTHER solo), now five behind Frank Howard's 48.
EDIT: 48 not 45.

Kearns showing again why he doesn't care.  He didn't even make an attempt to dive at a ball that landed right in front of him.

Hey!  I have not been on the board lately...I really hope the Nats win this tonight...My Reds are loseing ground on the wildcard...I think we'll have to win the Central to go to the post-season.

GO NATS!

BTW...Lopez popped up....sounds familiar.

GO NATS!

It seems like nobody wanted to stake a claim on the Wild Card.  It's really up for grabs again.  Whoever gets it could end up in the World Series again.  Get Pants some tickets.  Kearns, aka AK47, at bat...

Takes a walk..DP, game over

BANG ZOOM, 4 IN A ROW, 10 OUT OF 12!  THE CARELESS NATS LOSE ANOTHER GAME DUE TO HORRENDOUS HITTING, EMBARRASSING ERRORS, AND TONY BEASLEY!
