I'd really love to know what Stan Kasten and the Lerners think when they watch this pitching staff.

At $2.1 million a season, Tony Armas is pratically stealing!
not as bad a thief as that worthless cad Christian Guzman.

Atleast Guzman can't hurt the team while he is not playing.  Every time Armas pitches, he puts the team in a hole.
I beg to differ...every time Guzman deposits his paycheck it's money we could be using for someone useful, i.e. someone to replace Armas.   :?

And another starter out early in the game.

This is so sad.

The Nationals picked up a lot of injured pitchers and castoffs under MLB's ownership.  We have now eliminated $6 million of Livan's $8 million salary.  If we dump Ortiz and Armas, I wonder if it's worthwhile to acquire a lot of young promising but still-cheap pitchers.  Or if we should at least get one reliably-good pitcher to put the fans in the seats once every 5 days (twice if Patterson can stay healthy.)

If we resign Ortiz, Astacio, or Armas, I will go nuts.  Any pitcher in AAA is better than that dreadful trio.

Someone needs to let Ryan Wagner know he should update his picture.  It's makes him look like he rides to the stadium on the short bus.

Kearns' fly out would have been gone in any other park except Houston

At Citizen Bank Park it would have been out in the street.

That wasn't a strike.  Church got a solid diet of curve balls there until the last pitch.

I can't imagine this team not signing, at least, a few solid MLB caliber pitchers.  PItchers that give you a chance to win.

He'd better be. We need to offset the Bray loss.

That's weird.  An infield hit with a runner on first and no one was out!
