I had to fight people wanting to watch a fool fake an injury on a soccer field when Strasburg was pitching :bang:

I really don't like the idea of our star pitcher in the hands of a division rival's manager.  Call me crazy.

Not that he isn't getting by... but Strasburg has no control, today.

Pitch on the outside corner runs right over the inside corner. etc. etc.

Where the hell are you? And for the record, the Spain/Paraguay game was ending just as the Nats game was starting (and that game was very compelling).

Watching Stras pitch makes me miss Zimmermann that much more.

Two of these guys would be fantastic.

In my house. And I had the remote  I flipped away as Spain was wasting time to try and seal their win, and people complained. If they wanted to see someone fake an injury, I'd do it for them on commerical break from the Nats game. There's soccer on multiple times a day (I still don't care) and SS starts every 5 days.

Kid doesn't have it today.

Still would love for our other pitchers to be this solid when he "doesn't have it today".

Some soccer lover at work the other day was watching webgems on ESPN with us and made some remark like "it's too bad baseball isn't that exciting all the time"

It was really hard for me not to say anything

I'm sure I'm in the minority here but I don't want Strasburg to go to the All Star game. I want him to pitch next Friday and then go enjoy some well deserved time with his wife and family and be ready to refocus the following Thursday against Florida. He'll start plenty of All Star games in the future. Besides, winning that game doesn't mean anything to the Nats.

By the way, I guess Zim could be an All-Star because his start was so good that it's masking his awfulness, but that guy just doesnt care at the plate right now.

Right or wrong, All-Star games seem to matter to players HOF chances.

Not putting him in the Hall... but it's a good first start.

I feel exactly the same way.

He doesn't care? I doubt that's true.

That conversation was going on as well. I just said that I don't care about soccer because I never watched it. But watching games that you have no rooting interest in vs watching a guy that only gets a handful of starts left this year is no contest.

No onions. I would find it comical if anyone tried to tell me what channel to flip to on my TV.  :lmao:

Strasburg seems to be struggling with his release point.

I changed it but there was way too much barking. I flipped back before they got the ball and kept kicking it out of bounds to waste more time. Talk about lack of stones. Win it like men, Spain.

This umpire is awful. No low strikes at all.
