i'm listening to the "what's wrong with Strasburg?" talk on ESPN.  If 2ER over 5IP is his worst outing, i'm pretty happy.
So what did they say is wrong with him?  Throwing too many strikes again?

Fastballs when in 2 or 3 ball counts.  He throwing something like 81% fastballs when in those situations.  The Mets were 4-6 with a couple of walks against him when in 2 or 3 ball counts.

Also, opposing hitters are batting something like .330 against him when he's pitching out of the stretch.  We still need to remember that he's only made 6 starts at the major league level, he's going to improve.

But extra base hits are next to impossible. They dink and dunk singles and it doesn't matter.

I think what's wrong with him is called "Pitching Too Well on His First Appearance Ever in the Major Leagues."  Poor guy hasn't been able to match that yet.

Other than ESPN dissecting his every pitch. I hope Strasburg doesn't look or listen to all of the hype he's getting on TV and radio. That would ruin him for sure.

So apparently JD Martin pinch hit for Stras in the 5th inning - my question is why not use Stammen?
