After taking the opener, the Nationals play the second of three-game series against the Braves on Saturday afternoon at Turner Field.

In his last start on Sunday, Astacio gave up seven runs -- six earned -- in two-plus innings against the Phillies. The Nationals lost, 12-10.

Come on Astacio.  If he can pitch anywhere close to the level that he pitched against the Braves last time, we might have a chance

Our pitchers are so clueless!!  0-2 count and we give him something to hit??  The Braves swing more than any team in baseball.  Why give them such good pitches to hit??

I wish Escobar wouldn't have gotten hurt because Church is just awful.  There is no way that run should have scored

It's not too often that you see the 1st baseman tag out a runner caught in a rundown between 2nd and 3rd base.  But that's what just happened as Nick made the tag in an otherwise sorry inning...

Great job 4-5-6 hitters, especially Vidro!  I know this type of game all too well.  We are playing on Fox in front of a big audience and Smoltz is going to throw 6-7 scoreless and we are going to lose 6-1 or 7-2.

Smoltz gets a hit on the first pitch.  Why does this team always play crap like this on Fox/espn

Doesn't Smoltz know that he's supposed to immediately give the lead back?  Isn't that the rule?

The 4th run the Braves got was unexcuseable.  If Frank had any balls he would bench Church immediately.  Put Marlon Anderson in CF.  How can a guy struggling to prove that he belongs in the majors be so non-chalant and casual????? Allowing fat ass McCann to score on shallow fly ball????  Come on Frank, don't allow this culture.  Yank him now - teach him and the rest of them a lesson.
