I love pitchers like Strasburg. He gets hitters in a 2 strike hole/count and he goes right after them. Not like all the wussy ass pitchers who nibble the hitters back into the count. Strasburg has the killer instinct of a great white [shark] (had to qualify that so eagleskins wouldn't misinterpret the intent).

Can someone who is watching live describe what happened on the Guillen AB?  No error was assessed.

It was an infield hit up the middle.

Charlie described it very well: Desmond was shaded towards third, Kennedy is dumb.

Watching him live was very different, I couldn't see the movement of the ball at all because I was looking straight on (for a righty, couldn't see really for a lefty).

This is where Strasburg is showing his room for improvement; a hitter like Betancourt should be no trouble for a pitcher with his skills.

Actually, I thought the heat was getting to Lannan. He seemed to falter after a few innings. No scientific evidence, just a random idea.
I literally almost threw up and fainted yesterday after running a few miles and then swimming 16 laps in the pool. This weather sucks.

For more clarification, it was a slow high bouncer over 2B. I don't think Desmond had a play on it so it's an infield single.

SS pitched in Arizona lots of times.  He's used to heat like this.

how big is the pool? I used to be able to do a certain number of laps last Summer but when I went to the pool this Summer i thought I would pick up where I left off and was wrong.  :?

Isn't Arizona much drier heat than this?

It's not a big deal. The kid is not soft. Some people just want to treat him like a little nag and he isn't that. Treat him like a wussy and he'll probably become one.

Full size indoor pool with lanes. I tried to do too much too soon. Need to ease into it.

The humidity is only 37% today.  It's the heat today, not the humidity.

Yeah work your way into it. My problem is that I can't do leisurely laps. I like to do mine at sprint speed.

that's why you never do an intense workout in the heat of the day.

for the run too or just the swim?  In which case, that's why you never run right under the A/C vent.
