President Obama attending Stephen Strasburg's start tonight....but probably attending because the Nationals are playing his White Sox

His White Sox? He couldn't name one player on the team back in April.

Who do you think Taft was rooting for the day he started the first pitch tradition? Nothing has changed since then, nor will it ever.

I already declared I won't buy any more tickets this season due to Philly shenanigans. These are free blood donation tickets.

Way to make me feel like an ass.

But I still hope you get the shaft.

Let's get this right -- it wasn't that he couldn't name anyone on the team back in April.  He was asked to name the star White Sox players he identified with as a boy, and admitted he couldn't name any, because he was not a White Sox fan as a boy.  he grew up in Hawaii, and admitted pulling for the Oakland A's as a child.  The President often talks out of both sides of his mouth, but not in this instance.  He has been an avid supporter of the White Sox since he moved to Chicago as a young man.

White Sox lineup, if anyone cares -- not too awe-inspiring.

Pierre lf
Vizquel 3b
Rios cf
Konerko 1b
Quentin rf
AJ  C
Ramirez ss
Beckham 2b
Floyd p

Quentin had better start stepping it up.  I also hate Omar Vizquel.  The "Matador" hasn't changed much over the years.  Still a pompous horse's back end -- now with declining skills.

OUT!

He was safe. Tough play.

Strasburg gives up an infield single and a bloop single. Just our luck. :?

If it's called a strike, it's a strike.

Gave up a weak infield single and a bloop hit but battled back.

Do you have to be a strikeout pitcher to pitch well?  Just that thought, terrifies me...

...considering who we have pitching, tomorrow and the day after and the day after and the day after...  :'(

I think Morgan will finally bunt it up the first base line today. Konerko is SLOW.

I wouldn't even go that far.  He got outrun by a one-dimensional player.
