I'd rather Bernadina leading off and Kennedy batting second, but otherwise that looks good.

I almost wouldn't mind switching either Bernadina or Kennedy for Pudge in the second spot.

He doesn't strike out much... and he'd be a solid hit and run guy as long as we put the runners in motion so he can't hit into a lot of DP's.

wil nieves is 0-for-his-last-19

Dude, even against an ASSCLOWN, blatant straw man usage doesn't look good :P

I never really understood why he took so much flak anyway.  He played well and was generating some buzz before his ankle injury.

it's b/c SF made him out to be an all-star HOF when we already had dunn/willingham out there last year.  don't get me wrong moving dunn to 1B was the right move, but SF would continue to kill dunn while praise bernadina.

looking @ his minor league stats and his long funny swings in his brief time in the majors ... i really wasn't buying the hype that SF was issuing.  but he's had spells this year where he looks like he could be an everyday player.

That SF likes Nieves isn't relevant to whether or not Burn-a-diner is any good.

0-for-19 that's all i'm saying.  SF can't sit there and say oh look at me my guy is finally doing well and then ignore all the other guys he has praised.

SF is a good dude, I'm just saying ... 0-for-19 8)

you do?

I don't really praise anyone that I've been touting... but I'll certainly ignore any negative things about guys I like.

JMad is right here. what?

Bernadina has had a hot two weeks. we'll see if it lasts.

a month ago he was terrible with the bat. so terrible that he got demoted in favor of WILLY TAVARES. where was your crap-talk then, ASSCLOWN?

I'm not going anywhere.  Unlike you, ASSCLOWN, when I player I think sucks plays well, I am not upset about it, and I won't make excuses like "he's lucky" or "he rant into one" like you do, because everyone playing better makes the TEAM better, and the TEAM is what I care about, unlike you ASSCLOWN.  I don't have personally pet favorite players like you do, ASSCLOWN.

so I have had my doubts about Bernadiner, but that does not mean I was rooting for him to fail. I want him to succeed. I just don't/didn't think he would. and I said as much.

simple as that.

ASSCLOWN.

hopefully we have one of those games where we come out and score 7 runs in the first few innings, atilano gives us 7 strong innings and we return home salvaging a miserable 2-4 road trip.

Why not swap Guz and Bernadina? Am I missing something?

Absolutely not, it makes zero sense to not have them switched. Get Guzzies bat in there batting #2 as DH without his godawful defense, Bernadina's speed and hitting at leadoff and have Pudge batting either sixth before Morse or preferably seventh after Morse and this is an insane lineup that wins us 1/3 more of the games we've lost in our recent slump. And of course we won't see anything resembling this lineup for yet another week after today, another week where we lose every game save Stras's start except the one we used this lineup in.

Bernadina has more power than Guzman, and Guzman is 5-for-13 career against Bonderman.  Guzman is also a much less patient hitter and probably more likely to GIDP.  That's why.

also ASSCLOWN, where do you disappear to every time Wil Nieves steps on the field and sucks?

and where do you disappear to every time John Lannan gets shelled.

and where do you disappear to every time Livan has a quality start?

don't come in here trying to tell people to man up when you've never manned up on a single thing since this forum has existed except for the Saints making the Super Bowl. and thats only because it was a bet and you had no choice.

ASSCLOWN.

Guzman is 5 for 13 career against Bonderman.  Seems like a good candidate for leadoff to me.
So yo are saying today he is due for his 0 'fer?

Bryce Harper was 10 years old the last time Guzman got a hit off of Bonderman.

Wil Nieves sucks.

Hammonds: Guzman isn't leading the team in average. Pudge is.. but if his ABs don't meet requirements Guz is... by one point over Zim (who was until this recent slump).

Shrug.  You could say the same thing about most interleague matchups.  My point stands without that data anyway.

Pretty unhappy with how the trivia question worked out yesterday. I thought it was What IS not what will be like career numbers.... I wanted that Azteka so bad I could taste it. Why couldn't Livo have lobbed in a 55 MPH slurve??I gotta go lick my wounds...

The real test will be if they both play well today... does Riggs have the guts to start both tomorrow?
