Somewhere in the Indians dugout, Acta and Kearns are off in some corner giggling like schoolgirls...

.  I think Tony Plush could use some seasoning at Syracuse Licey.

Until the last week, Morse really hasn't shown me anything.  Granted, he hasn't really has a chance, but I'm not ready to think he is the 2nd coming of Jayson Werth in RF.

I agree. I can't help but think Morse is a flavor of the week. Next week we'll be asking for someone else. Give him a chance, please, but I don't have high expectations.

This team has been stuck in season long spring training since the day Frank Robinson got let go.  The message from the FO is that we have a long term Plan and that for now we are just trying out players for the future.
Great point.  I sense that as well.  We are so worried the future that it seems to take away the urgency of holding people accountable to win NOW.

He's showing me .417 / .500 / .583 and he's stuck at the very end of a lousy bench?  WTF more does he have to show?

This past offseason, was signing TWO free agent starters ever under consideration? Completely ignoring the fact that Marquis is right now the equivalent of a paperweight...

You seriously don't think Michael Morse is going to continue at that clip, do you?

No but he's the only bench player we've got who's showing a pulse!  Let the guys who are performing the best play, and those who aren't sit.   Too novel a concept?

Embarrassing. This might as well be a no hitter.

(Image removed from quote.)

Well, Willie Harris is having no problem keeping up his pace. And Adam Kennedy seems to be keeping up his fielding pace.  :?

This is like Rick Short all over again.  Dude hit goddamn .400 for most of the year in AAA, they said he wasn't good enough to replace the likes of Preston Wilson or Wil Cordero.  When somebody decided he deserved a cup of coffee in the bigs, he hit over .400 with an OPS of 1.404.   Not good enough my ass.

Our bench and our starting pitching has been exposed.  Think about our bench:  Nieves, Kennedy, Harris, Morse, Gonzalez.  Wow talk about slim pickings.  What's even scarier is thinking about our pitching:  Martin, Atilano, Burnett, Walker, Bautista.  If I add Lannan and Morgan to the list, that is 1/2 our roster.  Ughh.

As much as you are correct, I'd take Burnett out of that list, for now. And Morse too.

It looks like we have mailed this one in.  I hope Riggleman doesn't open his presser by telling us how hard the team is playing and how proud he is.  They look like they know Martin was not going to help them win and now it is time get ready for the #37 show tomorrow.

How long are we going to keep Detwiler dawdling in the minors?  This is what it's come to, lusting after Ross Detwiler...

Well since the game is a stinker

Let's try Cleveland Indians trivia;

Which ex-Indian outfielder had a back-up part in the baseball movie, "The Natural"?  No I wasn't Glenn Close.

i can't wait til ross comes back ... he has better stuff than martin, atilano and lannan and is a better pitcher than the first two.

Without cheating, I'll say Rick Manning

This lineup doesn't inspire confidence, even by the good players.  Does Riggleman really want Zimmerman, Dunn and Willingham wondering whether or not he (Riggleman) cares if they win this game?

Players shouldn't be wondering what the manager is thinking.
