Just started using audiobooks, I don't understand why:

a) You can't speed it up/slow it down on iTunes, you have to do it on your iPod
b) It's only 2x or 0.5x on the iPod - 1.5x would be perfect.

The kindle does an admirable job with audiobooks.

Apple's argument is that if you are going to use their store to distribute your content, they want a cut.  A good read:

I've never made a kindle purchase through my iphone, if you read their release, they want you to have the ability to purchase any content used in an app through apple, to my mind that includes netflix

iPad 2 is now in production:

http://www.cnn.com/2011/TECH/mobile/02/09/ipad.2.production.mashable/index.html?hpt=T2

I wonder how the front-facing camera will work for video conferencing, i'm guessing it will be awkward to hold the iPad in a position where you are visible to the other participant(s), instead people will likely be looking up the nose of iPad participants.

I think I'd have to be dragged to business school by a pack of wolves who also paid my tuition, and I'll still pout about it.

For a starting price of $58K for a Hyundai they better give me a Mac Pro and a couple of cinema displays.

I'm really starting to get pissed off at Apple. I bought my iPad last Thursday night about twenty minutes after it went on sale at 4am. Figured I could wait a week, instead of standing in line for hours like I did a year ago and then risk them not even having enough of the model I wanted (64gig AT&T 3G)

I wasn't thrilled it said ships in 3-5 days, but figured whatever. Now here we are, nearly a week post order, and it still hasn't even shipped yet. I got my wireless keyboard already from the same order, and my new black leather cover shipped out on Monday. This is inexcusable that I was one of the very first to place an order online, and it looks like I might not get it until April at this point. If anyone ever considers buying a new Apple product on their website versus waiting in line in the future, do yourself a favor and don't. I might end up looking to see if I can get it at a store in another week or so if I can cancel my order, which I probably can't since items have already shipped. I just know I am quite pissed off that they screwed up the online ordering of it so badly. For the first iPad, I remembered reading how easy and fast online orders were, which is what prompted me to not go out last Friday at 5PM. A mistake if ever there was one. Thankfully I do have the original still, so I'm not shaking and going nuts waiting for it. But there's no excuse to handle such a major release so poorly.

Ummm... Okay, Steve Jobs apparently lurks here. An hour ago I got the shipping notification for my new iPad!!! Delivered on March 22nd, so I've still got a wait. But damn am I excited. I got the engraving on the back to say "The National's Scorekeeper" since I keep score of all games I attend using it. I refer to the iPad as the Scorekeeper, not trying to make it sound like I'm the official scorekeeper or anything like that. Was limited how much you could fit on one line or I would have expanded it to make it slightly more clear.

Anyway, I can't wait until the 22nd! Even already having an iPad, it's got enough new stuff to make me excited for it. Plus, due to financial constraints and not thinking I'd use it *that* much, I only got the smallest gig version, and only wifi. So upgrading to 64gig, plus biting the bullet and paying AT&T ludicrous monthly amounts for 3G access is going to be a huge difference. It'll be nice to have interweb access wherever I go instead of being constrained to WiFi hotspots, hoping there's one nearby. So thanks Steve Jobs lurking at WNFF, you didn't waste any time after my post.
