I'll have the guitar jam as my ringtone in a couple of weeks - after we change cell phone carriers

Oh I just meant the bass line there. The solo in Comfortably Numb is unreal, but the progression isn't anything special.

Agree with most of the choices here. Would throw in Money by Pink Floyd for bass.

Wish You Were Here for the opening guitar part.

No argument with Led Zep, but how do you miss the bass on My Generation?

No argument with Led Zep, but how do you miss the bass on My Generation?

Easily.  Typing off the top of my head, in a hurry, doing 3 things at the same time, etc.

My Generation?  Awesome bass -almost, but not quite, as incredible as that in "The Real Me".

Quote
I went back to the doctor
To get another shrink.
I have to tell him about my weekend,
But he never betrays what he thinks.

Can you see the real me, doctor?

<insert maniacal bass run here>

I went back to my mother
I said, "I'm crazy ma, help me."
She said, "I know how it feels son,
'Cause it runs in the family."

Can you see the real me, mother?

<more racing up and down the neck of Entwhistle's bass at warp speed>

etc.
