As mentioned earlier he is saving Willingham and Desmond for the later innings. Why would you waste a PH with 2 outs and bases empty?

It wasn't two outs when Gonzalez came to bat.  It was one.

Might be able to get 2 IP out of Burnett

We need to get 2 IP out of him.

You're kidding, right?  Burnett has been worse than Bruney, lately.

Guzman is not leaving the game. Nieves would get pinch hit by Pudge. Willingham pinch hits for Bernadina. Desmond pinch hits in the 6th inning. Not that hard.

Then who hits when the pitcher comes up?  Tavares?

Yeah that one. Her parents should've fired her publicist/agent.
Yeah, I'm not sure what they were thinking signing off on that one.

He did fine that inning and the next 3 batters suck against lefties.  You'd rather throw Bruney back out there, perhaps?

cora lined a single over kennedy ... pitching change, in comes walker i believer ... out goes burnett with a man on 1b, no outs ... carpy stating the obvious that middle relief pitchers are having problems going two innings

Willingham

You had WIllingham for Bernadina.

The way Riggle did it, he used Gonzo with 1 out and no one on.  Leaves Willingham/Desmond for later on in the game when there might be a runner on base.  I would much rather have Willingham/Desmond hit in the 8th with the possibility of a runner on base.
