Haha Hammonds takes it upon himself as the "staff ace" to right the ship and help OUR Washington Nationals win the series.

Usually ... other than today and the one I started against the Braves last week, I allow anyone else to step up to the plate before realizing nobody has done it.  But in these two instances I want revenge.

I'll post line-ups in a bit.

Wow, you weren't kidding.

Glad Guzzy and his .233 line against RHP is in the 5 spot now... I feel much better!

When I heard Desmond, Hammer and Pudge were all getting a day off, I was expecting something much worse than that lineup.

Seriously? That's pretty awful. Now I'm wishing I started Pelfrey this week for my fantasy team

Oh, absolutely.  Tavaras could have gotten the start.

Time to get work done. I hope I'm wrong, but this has loss written all over it.

This might be the most important game of the season so far. Stammen has to have a great start though. We need at least seven innings out of him.

Are we even going to try to take two-of-three?  Come on Riggs, this is a game we should be looking to win and there's no Willingham and no Desmond?

Riggleman rested Desmond, Willingham, and Pudge on Saturday. Does he really need to rest them again?

I'm absolutely stunned they didn't make a roster move to get fresh arms for the bullpen. C'mon, Rizzo!

I was listening to the pregame yesterday driving home and they were talking about how riggleman thought it necessary to get Guzman in there everytime possible against lefties. That's fine, I buy that, but the other half of being platooned is sitting against righties

I don't mind Desmond getting a day off, but Willingham should be in there. We can still win w/ this lineup, though.

Willingham needs to play every day. He's team MVP.

This game is to take the series and for second place in the division. We should rest Desmond and Hammer tomorrow, not today.
