I found the Mets line-up a little weird seeing as from the last time we played them Francoeur and Barajas were out performing Wright and Bay I found it weird that the 7-8 hitters were having better seasons than the 1-2 and 4-5 hitters and then I looked up all their batting averages and was shocked by how low they are. Then I look up Howard Johnsons and in his prime he struck out around 100 times and hit 25-30 homers and his career BA is .249. Kind of like when we had Lenny Harris and he tried to turn every one into slap hitters.

I'm with you - as I talked about today in my preview, Barajas has 6 HRs in 10 games (actually 6 of his last 9 hits).  What does the guy have to do to get out of the eight hole?

Barajas has been hot in the homerun department, but is hitting .233 with 2 walks on the year.  His numbers, like Davis and Francouers will come crashing down.

Good point, and I agree he will slow down - but also why he should be hittign sixth or seventh.  You'd rather have a guy with decent OBP in the eight hole.  If not, you have the pitcher leading off too many innings.

Grrrr . . . I want Willie #2, Kennedy #7, and Bernie on the bench.  But only if we are trying to win the game.  For the long run, Bernie has to have his chance.

Hojo is the worst. And sending one of the best LOH in MLB to the 3 hole is arguably the dumbest move since Hitler going to war on 2 fronts.

It feels good to actually look forward to the games with a realistic hope that the Nats can win the ballgame.
