You think it's better than Livan's heater?!  Inshane.
That's more of a "warmer"

Ivan Rodriguez, leading the National League with a .450 batting average and seven doubles, will sit out Wednesday, Manager Jim Riggleman said. The Nationals will play at 4:35 p.m. Thursday, so although Rodriguez asked to play all seven games this week, Riggleman will try to keep Rodriguez fresh.

I disagree in that I think Martin's fastball has really good bite to it.  When he keeps it down, I prefer it to the heater of virtually everyone on our staff.

to each his own.

i didn't like his 14 homers in 77 innings last year.  and in the minors he may be able to hit his spots, but i saw him nibble and nibble last year.

also obviously our front office isn't that high on him, if he's not in the bigs.  and again he wasn't great in spring.  you can say AAAA player?

The Rockies have a good bullpen, but we should be able to pound this guy.

Hence the "when he keeps it down" caveat. When he leaves it up, it's very hittable, unfortunately.  I'm not enthused about him either, but he's done nicely in the high minors over the past couple years, so it's worth a try.

Like someone else said, it comes down to this: is he really worse than Olsen/Marquis?

Dunn's really developing a propensity for leaving runners on.

Seriously.  Watches two down the pipe without offering and then K's by missing the ball by a foot.

Well let's get something straight here ... Marquis has had some solid years ... he's off to an amazingly bad start, but I'm not ready to throw him out yet.

It looks like Olsen projects to be a #5 starter with his numbers the last few years, but obviously his spot is in jeopardy.  I think he and Martin are toss up.

It's a shame Detwiler/Wang are still a month away.

Paying attention perhaps, but did you turn on the tube?  Besides, it's already your thread :P

I take responsibility for that AB though :(

Holy crap!  I knew it was bad, but I didn't realize it was 0 for 18 bad.
