We win tonight.  Kennedy/Desmond are the best bets in the 2-hole.

yup ... yesterday is a thing of the past.  we got behind thanks to marquis/batista, but our bats did the best they could to rally back.

let's keep on taking 2-out-of-3.

We are going to beat the crap out of Aaron Cook :whip:

I just hope Stammen doesn't get lit up again. He is pitching on thin ice.

This.

Stammen better have a hell of a game. Back to back blowups would feel like a blow to the nuts. (in a morale sense!)

Nice breakdown of our pitching so far this season on Nats Insider.

http://natsinsider.blogspot.com/2010/04/it-starts-with-starters.html#more

We are 6-0 this year when our starting pitching goes at least 5 innings and allows 4 runs or less.
We are 6-0 when holding opponents to under 6 runs.
We are 0-6 when allowing opponents to score more than 6 runs.

So, get through 5 innings under 4 runs and we've got it in the bag.

Got it.

My buddy's in town from Boulder, CO on business and is going to tonight's game.   Be nice to him.

If that means be civil, no problem, if that means let the Rox win...no way!

For those going tonight: Low of 48 expected tonight, winds 5-10mph, no precip - no umbrella necessary, but a jacket might not be amiss.

Also keep an eye on the American League side of the outfield scoreboard - Capitals are at Montreal tonight in Game 3 of the opening playoff round (series currently level at 1) - hopefully they'll post the scores like they've done the past few matchdays.

As I recall, they had the game on the television up in the Red Loft Bar last year

great stats from Zuckerman on Insider. Who would've guessed Livo would be the best starter and Marquis the worst so far??

That tells you everything you need to know.

I agree, it's really refreshing when watching the games with a group of friends and they are pulling for the Nat's opponents. (A lot of my friends are braves fans).

:? I'm hopeful that we are just trying to showcase Guzzie in order to move him at the trade deadline to a contender or if said contender has an injury early on.

Cook vs Nats

We could bring in Marquis to pinch hit! We need to get the most out of that $15 million we can.
