Rays about to sweep the Sox

Correction: Take the first three.  It's a four-game set.  Even still.

well, i have to say that regardless of the outcome, I'm happy that they fought their way back into the game.

P.S. Leave Desmond in the game at SS

No.. make him linebacker. He grabbed the catcher around the neck and tried to tackle him.

Brewskis 10
Nationals  7

Yeah I don't understand why they didn't send Zimmerman but sent Desmond which should have stayed.

Oh well, loved seeing him run over the catcher either way. Definitely not the same team as last year, and it tells the fans this team actually wants to win.

If it's 10-9 then I think you send him there. 2 consecutive hard hit balls on 2 consecutive pitches, you make this pitcher work for the out. Bad call IMO by Listach.

You have to take the chance. If the next batter (Gonzalez) got an out, you are down 3 runs. 2 runs is a lot easier to get than 3. All you need is 1 baserunner and a HR. with 3 run deficit, guys start pressing.

Astros score a run in the top of the 9th, tie the Cubs at 2-2.  Marmol blows another save.

Does my heart good.   ;)

Now the Astros are choking in the bottom half, as are the Rockies at Turner.

It doesn't help that the umpires are trying to gift-wrap a comeback for the Braves.  The game should be over, but the first base ump made a horrible call on a would-be double play. >:(

It was.

I think he's really directing it at Chris Needham, who's made a few posts at Capitol Punishment about how awful he thinks Dibble is.

What was the comment Dibble made?

I barely remember.  I think he said something about using a stun gun on players or something as a joke?

And then he and Carp laughed and said that the bloggers will get on him for advocating violence against players.

It was a clear shot at Needham, who made a post last week nagging about how Dibble was cheering for someone on the opposing team to get injured.
