MVP 2005: A Washington Nationals Dynasty
« Topic Start: August 09, 2006, 05:14:00 PM »
I will stay as true as possible to the real Nationals and there 25 man roster as I can in this game, but when September call-ups begin (in real life not the game), I will keep whatever 25 I want  :P

I'll probably get a couple of games in every day unless I really can't. This thread is also mod-friendly because it will stay in the off-topic section

First off, I did a fantasy staff draft, and Joe Torre is the new head coach of the Nationals!!!
Lineup:
LF Alfonso Soriano
SS Felipe Lopez
3B Ryan Zimmerman
1B Nick Johnson
RF Austin Kearns
CF Ryan Church
2B Marlon Anderson
C Brian Schneider
Rotation
Ramon Ortiz
Pedro Astacio
Tony Armas JR
Billy Traber
(Will be working a four man rotation until I know who fills in for Livan)
Closer: Chad Cordero

I will play every game that is started by Billy Traber, because he is my favorite out of all of the starters. All of the other games I will be managing. First game on the way!

A few questions:

What did you do with Patterson, Lawrence, Guillen, Ayala, etc?
I traded Guillen for some AA prospects, and have Patterson as my ace in the bigs along with Lawrence and Ayala in AAA.

And dude, I have the same lineup as you (but with Vidro instead of Anderson until he gets hurt like he always does). Same order and everything.

I have everyone else in the minors, since I am staying true to the 25 man roster.

I'm trying to, but I need Patterson to anchor my rotation. I don't get a whole lot of injuries, so it isn't too bad for me. I wish there were more and I plan on adjusting my injury sliders to make some more so that I can call up O'Connor, Hill, Broadway/Casto.

When I play my MVP season, Vidro does better than Anderson.  I've played a full season with Vidro and he only got hurt once and that was for five games.  He also has the capability to hit a few out of the park as well.

Anderson has been juggled on my roster between the bench, OF, and AAA.

I played another game, lost in 10 innings to the Phillies. Kearns hit a solo HR in the 2nd and then a phillies 1b (subbing for the injured Ryan Howard) hit a HR to tie it. Ryan Wagner came in for me in the 9th and was at 2 out before the same 1B hit a walk-off.
