Now that free agency has begun this thread is for the NFL 2010 season at large.

Julius Peppers and Chester Taylor to Chicago.

Roethlisberger is facing a fresh sexual assault allegation, this time it happened in Georgia. UMD will probably go nuclear over this.

I vaguely heard about the sexual assault charge. My sister knows a chick who went to Miami with him and she said he's a sleeze. Hopefully it's nothing serious.

You hate to see two separate sex-related charges in like one year, though. even if one was baloney.

What does that say about a "chick", who went away with him for a free trip to Miami?

Has it been proven one was baloney? Just because the first woman was a nut doesn't mean she wasn't assaulted

No, dude, I mean Miami University, where he went to college.

I met a chick once who made a similar claim. She went to the same college and said the same thing your sister's friend said. But who knows if she was just talking to be talking. I don't understand this "sexual assault" thing. If a chick doesn't want to bang you then why would you go to that length? If a chick even as much as hesitates I no longer want to bang her, even if she changed her mind I wouldn't bang her.

My bad. Since you know me better than I know myself I should've checked with you to determine whether I would do such a thing.

Where did you read that? I heard a report that his agent said he was out with some friends (don't know if there were teammates) and a few broads and that he (Roethlisberger) was questioned by the cops. No charges have been filed yet.

Steal.

I thought the deal was Boldin and a 5th rounder from the Cardinals for a 3rd and a 4th from the Ravens. Either way it's a steal, IMO.

the AP story said he was with a group and she thinks it may have been him or something. sounds fishy to me but whaever.

and i thought boldin was traded  for a 3rd and 4th

but yes a steal

Actually, the Sun says the Ravens gave their 3rd and 4th round picks for Boldin and the Card's 5th.  Not as much a steal.

I still see this as a bargain for the Ravens, especially since it addresses a position of dire need.

We're going to need more information on this. The first I heard it was said "sexual assault" and then they said "sexual manipulation". That could easily mean as little as someone grabbed her ass or maybe even copped a boob feel and she decided that was enough to warrant a quick accusation that may end up netting her an easy financial settlement.

And he signed a 3 year, $25MM extension with the Ravens.

Isn't this Roethlisberger's third strike under the Goodell system?

UMD: This isn't baseball so WTF are you talking about "Big Ben" having three strikes!

Anyway, I thought this would constitute his second. Maybe I'm forgetting an incident from the past. Does the motorcycle incident count against him?

Yeah, no license. I think the Sheriff is still smarting from the Williams defeat, Big Ben may get the chair.

Don't forget matt jones- I think you have to be a white qb to qualify for the extra strike

He was a former white QB (at Arkansas)

Four strikes if you're white and you're famous.
